As a small business owner, a proud father of four, and a leader in my community, I am driven by the belief that everyone should access to the highest quality legal services. In my 13 years as an attorney, I have helped large entities, colleges and universities, government agencies, small business, individuals, and families overcome legal obstacles, grow strong partnerships, and plan for the future.

I understand the importance of protecting your loved ones and your legacy. I also understand that the steps to do those things can feel daunting for most people. The thought of having a difficult conversation, navigating family dynamics, and setting a plan in motion causes so many people to procrastinate and put their loved ones at risk. I've made it my mission to take the "Ugh" out of estate planning and make it easier for more people to follow through.

​I started my career as a public servant and an Assistant Ohio Attorney General, litigating matters in the U.S. Court of Appeals and the Ohio Supreme Court. I served as deputy legal counsel to the Ohio Senate. And I worked for a number of years as Of Counsel to a boutique estate planning law firm in Columbus immediately before launching McKenzie Law, LLC.​I'm a proud alum of Notre Dame Law School. I enjoy a good game of chess. And on an ideal weekend, you'll find me taking a day trip with my wife and 4 very energetic children.
